The Oreos Quartet is a young, vibrant, all
female string group consisting of Martha and Cathryn on Violin,
Holly on Viola and Rachel on cello who have been together for
over four years.
The quartet has come to be recognised for its energetic and
charismatic performances and highly professional approach.
The repertoire of the group includes Classical, Jazz,
Standards, Show Tunes, Classic Pop and some of their own highly
original arrangements.
They have played at functions for:-
British Government Hospitality, The Arts Council of Great
Britain, UNICEF, The British Association of Business Women,
Honourable Artillary Company, The National Trust, The British
Museum, Guy’s Hospital.
The Quartet have provided the Strings for Pop Bands
including:- Hot House Flowers, Stretch and Verve, Meat
Loaf, Rest Assured, Melatone and Bairkatz – Swing & Dance
Band.
TV appearances have been made on Top of the Pops and TFI
Friday.
The Quartet has provided background music for weddings
and functions throughout the country and were the resident
quartet at Chorak Restaurant, London.
