The
Lincoln String Quartet is an enthusiastic and versatile ensemble based
in the Midlands.
The
members are all freelance musicians in their own right, each
contributing to the group with great proficiency on their particular
instrument. The four players have worked with various orchestras in
Britain, Portugal and Spain. They have performed as a quartet throughout
the UK and appeared on BBC Television.
Together they have performed many recitals including a very successful
fireworks evening in Springfield gardens, Lincolnshire, in July 2000.
Their professional attitude and skilled musicianship will add a touch of
magic to any occasion.
Repertoire
They
have a large collection of a very wide-ranging repertoire. Everything
from the serious quartet repertoire and for the more popular side, from
Bach to the Beatles and from opera highlights to popular ballads.
The
Lincoln String Quartet
can play for the ceremony, the drinks reception and
the wedding breakfast.
They
will play in the gardens if the weather is nice.
They will entertain your guests while you have your photographs taken. You can
choose the repertoire from a wide range of classical and pop and they will try
to arrange any requests for particular pieces of music.
Why not ask for
their trumpet player, Huw Thomas, to join the Lincoln String Quartet.
Huw will play a fanfare or a trumpet voluntary as you walk down the aisle,
accompanied by the Lincoln String Quartet.
He can also play with the quartet for the signing of the register and
for the departure of the Bride and Groom, depending on what you require.
