The New English Rose String Quartet is one of the most well established and sought after quartets for light music in London. Offering the perfect combination of elegance and musical experience, the quartet has built up an extensive clientele. Originally formed in 1990, the quartet enjoys a successful career with regular bookings for Cunard, the Royal Academy of Arts and London's top hotels. Their experience has attracted performances for Royalty, corporate hospitality and especially weddings. Following a world cruise on the QE2, the quartet has entertained at Ascot, in the vaults of the crown jewels and on the film set of "Restoration". Over the years the quartet has acquired a comprehensive and varied repertoire; embracing the famous classics, show songs and foot-tapping jazz melodies with flair and imagination. The members of the quartet are all highly regarded musicians in their own right and delight in bringing their individuality and charm to achieve the highest standards of performance. Invitations to perform abroad have encouraged the ensemble to record their most popular arrangements. The New English Rose String Quartet prides itself on providing a gracious atmosphere, high quality playing and unrivalled service to compliment any occasion. English Rose prides itself on making weddings a speciality. With our unrivalled experience we take great care to listen and liaise with brides and offer advice or suggestions as required. With the increase in popularity of civil ceremonies we have assembled some of the best loved works and recorded them on CD. This enables couples to make informed and straightforward decisions about the music that they require. We recommend that music is played from about 15 minutes before the ceremony is due to start in order to fill the time before the bride makes her entrance. The signing of the register is another time to make the most of the Quartet by having your favourite piece of music performed to the highest standard. After the ceremony, the Quartet will herald the newly weds up the aisle and off to the reception. The advantage of a quartet is that we are easily moveable from the ceremony to the wedding breakfast! We have eight hours of music in our repertoire and can cater for most tastes with a wide range of pieces from Baroque Classics through to The Beatles; and if you wish we can also arrange your favourite tune for a small fee. Your wedding day should be a day that you will always remember and that will delight your guests. English Rose are professional musicians of the highest quality and provide charm and grace to create a sophisticated atmosphere.
