Selections of songs composed by: Cole Porter, George and Ira Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Richard Rodgers & Lorenz Hart,, Hoagy Carmichael & Johnny Mercer, Seymour Simons & Gerald Marks, Fats Waller, WC Handy, Duke Ellington, Harold Arlen and many more. From 1984 to 1989,
Julia sang traditional Jazz with the Beale Street Jazz Band at the
Barbican Centre and throughout London and surrounding area.
However, after 5 years, Julia took a break from the jazz scene
and moved into music theatre, performing in the West End of London in
productions such as Les Miserables and touring with productions all over
the UK and Ireland. During her time
working in theatre, Julia worked with Sir John Grilgud, Frankie Howard
and Sir Elton John and in between productions she produced her own
plays, sang at the Royal Albert Hall and appeared in several television
productions including Crocodile Shoes with Jimmy Nail and in Suspicious
Circumstances for Granada Television. Two years ago, Julia
decided to return to the jazz scene and she currently performs with
several different pianists at jazz venues in London and at corporate and
private functions. Andrew
