Maria
Beattie is one of the UK’s leading Harpists, her varied career spans
every style of music from classical to pop.
Her originality and versatility has helped established her
reputation as a harpist of exceptional accomplishment.
She is always in demand both at home and abroad.
After graduating from the Guildhall School of Music – where she
studied with Sidoni Goossens and David Watkins – Maria went on to the
National centre for Orchestral Studies to further develop her
considerable talent. Her
busy schedule includes regular South Bank orchestral appearances,
performances with the Ulster Orchestra, West End shows, of the calibre
of, High Society, Phantom of the Opera and Kiss Me Kate and her many
commitments as a soloist. Maria
has also appeared on many commercial recording and radio and television
broadcasts.
